As the name suggests, White-throated Swifts have a white throat and underside which is surrounded by black feathers on the wings and back. They eat insects by hunting by flight and can be found in scrub areas in the western United States and Mexico. Commonly found in canyons, mountains, and foothills, you can spot a White-throated Swift in a fast flight as they one the fastes flying birds in North America.
