Gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations are critical to supporting the mission of the Valentine Eastern Sierra Reserves and work in partnership with funding from the University. This public-private partnership plays a significant role not only in maintaining the Natural Reserve System but also in building the University of California’s reputation. Gifts in any amount are welcome for programs that benefit all of our reserves: in education, in research and in public outreach.

Projects for which we seek funding include our K-12 outdoor science education program, graduate student fellowships, facilities enhancements and replacements, technology improvements, environmental monitoring, resource inventories, distinguished lecturer support and staff positions that provide technical support to our reserves.
