You can easily spot a Turkey Vulture soaring in the sky with its V-shaped wing span. Their distinct dark brown feathers contrast with their bright read head. They have an excellent sense of smell in which they can detect carcasses while scavenging and they have developed a strong immune system to protect against contracting disease from carrion. They can be found in open areas and nest along cliffs.
