Different from other raptors, Osprey's diets consist of fish. They have incredible vision to detect underwater objects from the air and then is able to plunge feet first into water to capture its prey. They also have the ability to close their nostrils to keep out water when diving and oily dense plumage helps to keep the bird dry. While mainly solitary birds, they typically form nests near water in high locations.
