Ready for a masquerade, the Common Yellowthroat adult males look as if they are wearing a black eye mask with their feather coloration. As the name indicates, the Common Yellowthroat do in fact have yellow feathers dressing their neck and underside. They can be found in scrub habitats as they look for food and nest in shrubs.
