The American Pipit's narrow frame is decorated with a brown and beige streaked and speckled pattern. While the American Pipit lives in the artic and alpine tundra during breeding seasons it also frequents beaches, fields, and river habitats. Their diet consists of insects and seeds as they search for food on the ground.
