Great Basin Spadefood toad are typically a mixture of olive, brown, or gray with dark patches along their back. They also have small bumps all along their skin. Although mostly nocturnal, they can be found feeding in the early morning and evening. Their diet mainly consists of insects and other small arthropods along with carrion.
