Colleen McCamy is a third year Environmental Studies student at UC Santa Barbara and is able to explore her passion for the ocean as an intern working at the UCSB Research Experience and Education Facility (REEF) in educating students about coastal ecosystems and environments. She is also the Student Engagement Intern for the UC Carbon Neutrality Initiative at UCSB where she is able to involve students within UCSB's plans to implement renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions. Colleen is excited to learn about natural reserve management with the Offen Internship at the Valentine Eastern Sierra Reserve and gain the knowledge and skills that will help her with her future goals of working with aquatic resource management.
